Continuing on with our game of Blog Catch Up™, allow me to share some of the best Christmastime moments I had from this year. If you don’t know, Chicago is unbelievable during the holiday season. There are markets, lights, and a palpable joy in the air that is so all encompassing it’s like the entire city vibrates with it. Without further ado, here’s some tinsel, twinkly lights, and big ol’ Christmas smiles for you to enjoy! Overnight, Chicago…

    Theatre in Chicago!

Yes, I know. It’s been approx. 45 years since I sat down and wrote a blog post and I’ve been behind and I’ve been lazy and [insert apology I don’t really mean here]. I’ve been BUSY!  Busy creating, busy working, busy crying, busy trying, busy writing other things, busy reading, busy busy busy.  Just busy living life. And that’s something that I’m trying to stop apologizing for.  I’ve been busy, but right now, I’m not. Facts. No fake news ™. One of the universal truths of my life has been that I would live in Chicago. It’s been my dream since I was probably about 10 years old, coming into the biiiiiiig city on the South Shore Line train with my family, walking to the museums, and holding my breath as I looked…

    29Rooms with Refinery29!

Recently Chicago has been one of the lucky cities to house some traveling art installations. The Happy Place, Wndr Museum, and 29Rooms by Refinery29 are three examples of traveling exhibits that have come to Chicago this summer. Somehow we managed to snag a few tickets to the last three hours on the last day that 29Rooms was open. We were so excited to see the art at the exhibit! We loved the idea of interactive art that also connected itself directly to social media. We were hopeful for meaningful interactions with art that would educate us, empower us, and excite us. Unfortunately, we didn’t get all of that at 29Rooms.…
